Meet Kira

Appalachian Artist, Mothman Enthusiast

& Traveling Cryptid Dealer

Two years ago, I relocated from the mountains of Colorado to the mountains of Kentucky to dedicate myself to art full time. I thoroughly enjoy discovering my new surroundings through my artistic expression. The lush green landscapes, rich biodiversity, and vibrant Appalachian culture of Kentucky have truly won me over.

The Legend of Mothman

Mothman is one of America’s most enduring cryptids — first sighted in the quiet town of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, in November 1966. Witnesses described a towering, winged humanoid, standing over seven feet tall with massive, bat-like wings and piercing red eyes that glowed in the darkness.

Many claimed Mothman’s appearance had been an omen—a supernatural warning of impending tragedy. Since then, he’s been called both a harbinger of doom and a guardian spirit, appearing before disasters or moments of great turmoil, his intentions forever unclear.

Over the decades, Mothman’s myth has grown far beyond Point Pleasant. Sightings have been reported across Appalachia and beyond—from the mountain hollers of Kentucky to the industrial outskirts of Chicago—each encounter steeped in the same uneasy mix of fear and awe. He has become a symbol of mystery, folklore, and the thin line between belief and the unknown.

Some say he’s a watcher, others a warning—but all agree on one thing: he isn’t from around here. And now? He’s in your home (or shop)... if you dare.

Canned Mothmen

A new spin on home canning. Let's just hope the health inspector doesn’t catch wind of this. Last week it was a green bean harvest, this week: canned enigma!

Framed Mothmen

Limited space? No problem, just nail this cryptid to the wall. With a framed mothman, there will be no place to hide from his hypnotic gaze.

Rockin' Mothmen

What a combination, Mothmen and Rocks. Can you imagine a more perfect duo? Agate, geodes, crystals and other cool rocks.
